Flowers in the Graveyard | Poem

FLOWERS IN THE GRAVEYARD

Flowers in the graveyard
Cold in the night
Livin' through a coke straw
Your life was wrong
Your death was right
Laughing mourners
Cried for you
But now they're high

And I tried to make you see
But you knew so much more than me
Dreaming dreams of immortality
But you know nothing comes for free
And I tried to let you know
But the powder had your soul
Don't count me as your mourner
I'll just let the heart grow cold

Flowers in the graveyard
Gone with the light
Memories of you girl
Out of mind
And out of sight
Better off without you
Dragged me down
Into your plight

And I tried to make you see
But you knew so much more than me
Dreaming dreams of immortality
But you knew nothing comes for free
And I tried to make you know
But the powder had your soul
So don't count me as a mourner
I'll just let the heart grow cold
