What we are up against -
        I have not seen,
I know only this sharp figure
        of blameless factor --
Figure fixed in colored sand.
The need for Hope – to put a face -
of impeccability onto our laughter.
Unfallen-ness. Can it really be so minimal?
Immediate as bright blood on cool sand?
As in Thing – and No-thing?
