Double Diamond Dichotomy

        hunched humble, Humbolt county's finest
        the tree, the roots, deep
        the ever climbing, and rich
        The stair is slippery
         and high, so high
        eyes that hold nothing
        Do I dare to look?
        hoping to find dreams, thought
         vision theater
the poems, and stories that dance
roses in their teeth, and hair
every face ever pictures of becoming
         of moving, evolving
to reach that truth we can only glimpse
         in a fractured sphere
        prayers for unity,
and the healing light of faith
gently placing a hand upon your shoulder
                                 revelation
        the tree, the roots...
