dateline:  14th October 13000 a.d.

 

it appears from archeological digs
this species that called themselves homo sapiens
rationalized themselves extinct
the evidence is clear
while the eastern hemisphere bludgeoned themselves over religious differences
the western hemisphere destroyed their habitat via conspicuous consumption
sometime early in the second millennium a.d.
from their own massive amount of written records we can discern
so great and numerous their fears and hatreds
right and left hemispheres of their brains no longer functioned harmoniously
causing a split tongue – another Babylon
or babble
this reporter believes the evidence will show
this extinct species had developed communication technology
that webbed around the entire planet – an information highway
which had the capability of creating world peace and personal peace
but ended in a tangled web of greed, porn and spam
