MOTHER’S DAY
(letter to a beloved sister)

With pen in hand - I start to write
I think "Dear Lord" - please make it right.
I have some thoughts - I give to thee
The sadness of - a special Memory.
The thought of Mother - A Sunday ahead
Mothers' Day - Celebrating - Alive and now dead.
Celebrating a life - that now has passed on
Lord, please help me - to sing a brand-new song.
Remembering for sure - the good times and bad
     Sometimes happy - sometimes sad.
And now dear Alice, with a sigh of relief
Just keep looking up - He will help with your grief.

- Lillie Louise Fellure
