The Shock of Awe

The children played with the cluster
bombs
and were maimed or
died.
The warhawks neither served nor died nor were
maimed. Too bad they still have
legs, too bad.
It was worth it to them
as they lie in their warm beds
to get the oil while espousing
freedom and spreading the
cluster bombs across
the landscape like seeds in the spring, a
little present for the children who can now be
free of their
legs
and arms.
By the way, there are indeed weapons
of
mass
destruction there,
cluster bombs.
We put them there.
