on this, my 77th birthday
\ni received this mother’s day\/birthday message,
\n“do anything you want and have fun”<\/p>\n
ok first
\ni don’t like the guilt attached
\nto mother’s day or any other day
\nwe’re cultured in to “celebrate”
\nwith gifts that never feel “enough”
\nbut most of all and all the rest<\/p>\n
i have the wonderful acquaintance
\nof many many wonderful humans
\nchildless, by blood, but
\nhave done, often,
\nmore mothering than many mothers who
\nfor whatever reason
\nwere unable to nurture enough
\nfor the health and well being of their children<\/p>\n
yeah, for sure and why not
\ndream
\ndream a day with more light, like…<\/p>\n
