16 days till winter<\/em><\/p>\n

she knows where she wants to go
\nbut here’s not there and
\nsuch an addictive personality
\nshe says yes then does no
\nnow she knows she can’t get there from here
\neven speaking ahead of time
\ntime comes
\nshe remembers
\nand goes ahead and does it anyway<\/p>\n

and someone joey says
\nup the mountain is one step at a time
\ndown the mountain three or four
\nno tellin’
\nfer sure
\nthe many
\nsometimes slip sliding along
\nsometimes fun
\nsometimes bang!
\no
\nthe laughing all the way
\nsome finder seys<\/p>\n

enjoying the day as if it were last
\nis hard to do
\nsave for being a child or elder than…<\/p>\n

it took a long time to sort then and than
\nyepper, one is time
\none is comparative<\/p>\n

thar you go my many michaels
\nthis is not a poem
\nit is broken lines
\nlike thoughts
\nplay me a song
\nlong then short
\nrepeat and sort at will
\nsmile<\/p>\n

i’m pleased to know a mike
\nthat combines prose and poetry
\nhe calls it “broken prose”
\nwe call it what we will because
\noh and yeah,
\nby the way
\nhe is a special education teacher
\nand i’m on my way
\nto ask his permission
\nat least what he thinks
\nof these words
\nor not
\nyou tell me
\nwhy you’re here
\nby singing me back
\nyour song
\nif you will
\nto do so…
