Independents are fully aware of the kabal that controls the top dogs in both parties.<\/p>\n<p>Yours for a more perfect union,<\/p>\n<p>Pen Chant<\/p>\n<p>(the following are exerts from McCain and Obama&#8217;s exchange)<\/p>\n<p>February 2, 2006<\/p>\n<p>The Honorable John McCain<\/p>\n<p>Dear John:<\/p>\n<p>requirements for lobbyists<\/p>\n<p>you   creating a task force<\/p>\n<p>but I and others  to allow the committees of jurisdiction&#8230;<br \/>\nget to work on writing ethics and lobbying reform legislation<br \/>\nthat a majority of the Senate can support<\/p>\n<p>a public forum and that those within Congress,<br \/>\nas well as those on the outside, can express their views,<br \/>\nensuring a thorough review of this matter.<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely, Barack Obama<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>February 6, 2006<\/p>\n<p>Dear Senator Obama:<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m embarrassed&#8230;I failed to interpret your previous assurances<br \/>\nas typical rhetorical gloss routinely used in politics<br \/>\nto make self-interested partisan posturing appear more noble.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Collins&#8230;with Senator Lieberman,<br \/>\nthe Committee on Governmental Affairs<br \/>\nwill report out a meaningful, bipartisan bill.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;interest in creating a task force to further study&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8230;as if to suggest I support delaying<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, I have consistently maintained<br \/>\nthat any lobbying reform proposal be bipartisan.<br \/>\nThe bill Senators Joe Lieberman and Bill Nelson<\/p>\n<p>But I understand how important the opportunity<br \/>\nto lead your party&#8217;s effort to exploit this issue must seem<br \/>\nto a freshman Senator<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely, John McCain<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>February 6, 2006<\/p>\n<p>Dear John:<\/p>\n<p> Last Wednesday (Feb 1) morning, you called to invite me<br \/>\nto your meeting that afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>my caucus insisted that the consideration of any ethics reform proposal<br \/>\ngo through the regular committee process.<\/p>\n<p>you have now questioned my sincerity and my desire to put aside<br \/>\npolitics for the public interest<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely, Barack Obama<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>for whom do the bells toll truth?
