May this new year be unlike anyone we’ve seen preceding
\nThere I was getting ready to write…something…and
\nThe opening line was, “Tobacco was my sacrifice”
\nwhen you with your Cheshire grin appeared
\nand i am lost to giggles<\/p>\n
don’t you just love it when kin show sensibility?<\/p>\n
my off springs are staying in their casas tonight
\nwell and er, were not New Year’s Parties for singles
\nlordy i remember my first one
\nspinning the bottle and
\nthe one i wanted to kiss wanted to kiss another
\nand another wanted to kiss me i didn’t want
\nstill lots of fun and laughs<\/p>\n
the only other one remarkable enough to spell was
\nMexico, beach, campfire, singing
\ncamped out with a lover, the embers of said fire
\nstill glowing, when he picked up my tobacco
\nand rolled himself a cig and i
\nfelt guilty for starting him again i
\npicked up my Bugler, took off the lid
\nand emptied the tobacco on the embers<\/p>\n
well that lasted about six weeks
\nand this is not about regrets it is
\nwanting my fellow tobacco kin
\nand all my fellow kin to think<\/p>\n
nah
\ni went over the cliff with my country tonight
\nin the last hours of this old year…<\/p>\n
the last person i expect to see was my daughter
\nthe last person i spoke to on the phone was my other daughter
\nthe last person i expect to write to is my amazing daisy<\/p>\n
with four hours and seven minutes left of 2010
\ni’ll bid you adieu
