the Ugly Americans are but a few
\nstill swimming up the tube
\nto where neighbors help and share
\nthis God fight has us most a’tizzy
\nin a junk yard all a’clamor
\nwhere you go when dead
\nholding more importance
\nthan living life
\nthe very dress of Lady Liberty
\nstill on the cutting room floor
\nand in her eyes a dimming light
\n“Be thankful for
\nany arms that hold you,”
