\nfor our English language?<\/p>\n
Sacrifice is like a Jesus who never carried a weapon
\nor used one…a Ghandi…et al
\nwho believe\/teach\/walk the path of
\nnonviolent conflict resolution.<\/p>\n
Wasted is how people get when they can’t take reality
\nanymore. Wasting away in Margaretaville…et al.<\/p>\n
Whitewash is what you do with a black lie.
\nNaked is what you get when publicly exposed.
\nSneer is what you do when you believe you are all mighty.
\nPeace is what you feel when you take a walk on the beach
\npicking up beautiful sea shells…<\/p>\n
Shores
\nWars
\nYears
\nTears<\/p>\n
But if you, Dateline, want to call those deaths sacrificed,
\nthen please inform us, your audience, what
\npurpose did those lost lives serve?
\nWere there deaths of service to we the people
\nor were they in service of another Empire
\nseeking world and outerspace domination?<\/p>\n
Durn, didn’t you know
\nthe Devil does not wear blue he wears black
\nand white shirts and pick your color tie?<\/p>\n
And who is there here who has not heard
\nof the ultimate temptation?
\nIt did not work on Jesus Christ
\nbut did work on others
\nand the list grows on
\nand on and on and
\nwasted days and wasted nights
\nwith distractions too numerous to mention
\nrunning just as hard as we can
