The president has his veto power
\nthe congress, most important in times of war,
\nhas their power of the purse<\/p>\n
And the power of money, Murdock has,
\nis to set his echoing dogs to attack
\nany congressional member as
\n“cut and runners who don’t support our troops”
\n(and other talking points handed down from on high)<\/p>\n
History warns against nation wars not supported
\nby the majority of its citizens but Bush doesn’t know
\nhistory and Cheney does not heed it<\/p>\n
So here we go again
\ncongressmen parsing their words
\ndragging out this war for time to find an out
\nby claiming some measure of victory
\nbut this time there is determination
\nNEVER to get out, well, and unless
\nthe money power behind the president
\nsecures another puppet government
\nperhaps another Butcher of Baghdad<\/p>\n
The question is not, this time, who will we ask
\nto be the last to die in Iraq, a larger question is why
\nwe hire security contractors for our military.<\/p>\n
Or a better question, when did the US ever
