\nout in the land of enchantment
\nthat place that is still quiet enough
\nto hear the laughter of running water
\nand the refilling of spiritual cups
\nit’s always easy to misplace one’s left foot
\nwhen one feels the intensity
\nof worldly affairs
\nand when was your last vacation? or
\nare all your vacations working vacations?
\nat nearly 73 years of age i still remember
\nthe push it took at age 67
\nto do the best we could think of…
\nnow i’ll tell you truly
\ni’m one who emailed you complaining
\nwhen you had too much testosterone in the air
\nsorry you could not see me smile
\nwhen you got into a debate on the air
\nwith your wife, even; you both were assertive
\nwithout anger, and i witnessed
\nyour willingness to listen
\n(not so many husbands have developed that ability)
\ni flew some disgusted emails at some guests
\nbut i hope i thanked you a few times also<\/p>\n
heal yourself first dear Mustang
\nyou will be better and stronger at your chosen work
\nyour fans will not plead for your return
\nthough this is our dream – we now have a deeper understanding
\nof the strength it takes to be a messenger
\nor as my close musical friend is wont to say,
