\ntime speeds up when a species feels threatened
\nby extinction, for the human species
\nthey called it “future shock”
\nnow is the future
\nand the past
\nturning to salt is only how dry one feels
\nlooking back looking back at
\npast faulty rationalizations
\nseeing fully why we do not wish them
\nin our future
\nwater is the staff of life and all of it is holy
\nthese children of the millennium changeover
\ngive elders comfort as they are able
\nand their children the freedom
\nto be children
\ncurious
\nplayful
\nwith loving safety nets
\nthe days of
\n“Do as you’re told not as I do”
\nare dead and gone
\nwhen coming into this garden
