\nand vigil candles lit so long ago
\nin memory of the dead
\nbath candle no longer used for bath
\ni place upon my postered wall
\nit lights my favorite charity
\n“doctor’s without borders”
\nit is the way of midnight owls
\na silent howling of the heart
\nin search of peace

\nnot too cry little zephyr
\ndesk candle was only hidden from you
\nthere behind those little boxes, see it?
\nlight it, the wall candle also
\nfor a wider view
\nnot to worry weary zephyr
\ndoctors without borders know
\nyou’d join them if you could
\nhauling around your oxygen in a tank
\nis hard to do
\nwhat su do with your donations
\nis as much the donation
\nas the moral support
