From the town of Mingora in the Swat District of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Malala Yousafzai went aginst the Taliban and was shot defending the right of young girls to have an education. We salute her award of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.
She ahares the prize with Kailash Satyarthi of India, an Indian a hero of campaigns to end child labor and free children from trafficking.
The Peace Prize was first given in 1901 and Malala is the youngest recipient. Because of the joint award to a person from India and Pakistan, Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi are requesting that the leaders o0f both countries attend the award ceremony. “It is my humble request.”, said Malala.
She is a very humble and brave and worthy recipient who found out about the award in school.
Congratulations Malala Yousafzai. Bravo!
