Thank
you for
visiting.

HOUSE GUEST

I hear you rattling around.
When you sense me listening,
you do not make a sound.

How can you know I would like to see
your sweet little face,
when people like me
have treated you with such disgrace?

The cat is ignoring the noises you make.
She is allowing you to live
strictly for my sake.
Try not to tempt her overly
for I fear, her nature will overshadow
her love for me.

So "rat around" and keep your babies warm,
and hide, if you will.
You need not brave the storm.
You shall have your fill.

It is no accident you see,
that food is on the floor...
I leave it there purposely,
for mouses I adore!
