DESERT FLOWERS

desert seeds learn patience
waiting for adequate moisture
armored pods deflect the searing sun
ensuring the dreams of desert flowers
for that life thrusting moment
when heaven cries a torrent
it is in watery softness sprouting begins
releasing armor to tender root and stem
in bliss the blossoms burst
brilliance of unEarthly design

o flower wilting, dead designed
birthing seeds of immortality
teach us Earthlings
unconditional love
