Poem: Kiss The Fire of the Dawn | Poem

KISS THE FIRE OF THE DAWN

Kiss the fire of the dawn
draw a breath of the morningchill
Brave the night until it's gone
as the heart of morning startsto fill
With all the light that's hadto wait
   cached away in secret places
As all disguise now falls away
   revealing love's true faces
Never ask how long it took
   or question why it happens
   Be content and thus rejoice
   in what the season sends
   Everything must turn around
it is not life to stay the same
   Embrace and nurture that softglow
and draw that spark unto fullflame
   One must not anticipate
but rather leave the breeze itswill
And kiss the fire of the dawn
   to brace against that ling'ringchill.
