My Peaceful World | Poem

My Peaceful World

I want to live in a world
Where there is no black or white,
Right or wrong, or
Good or bad.

I want to live in a world
Where ice doesn't melt
And heat doesn't rise--
A world where I can fly so high
And not have to worry
That gravity will pull me right back.

I want to live in a world where
The light spectrum combined isn't white,
Sound can travel through gas,
And atoms cannot be used
To build nuclear arms.
I want to live in a world where
There is more than one God.
A goddess of dogs.
A goddess of fishes and butterflies.
In my world, I can sleep
Below the surface of the sea
On a mountain top, then
Wake up with a red cardinal
On a Japanese magnolia tree
Singing and eating sunflower seeds.
At noon, I would swim with a great white shark
From New Orleans to the very tip of Alaska,
Where I would spend the night
Tucked in the fur of a tender Polar Bear's arms.
In my world there are no wars, for
Humanity has fully evolved into
Majestic planets and luminous stars.
