A Poem a Day to Millennium 1 September 1999
THE RETURN
Would
it not have been easier
to have let us dance
the ghost-dance
in our last lifetime
Such things are
inevitable
as the falling leaves
and the sun-set color.
Around the healing
circle
spinning the uncausing
of the plague of hurt
on the souls of all brothers
Set the stage as
needs be or not
we shall righteous preserve
for this life is ours
and we have come to dance.
