A Poem a Day to Millennium 11 September 1999
LAND OF DREAMS
The sun shone on the sleepy Earth
The winds play with some leaves
The clocks take a five minute break
The clouds drift by
The sun disappears behind a cloud
A dark cloud
Rain starts to fall
Thunder rings loudly
It rolls over the hills
Echoes off the clouds
Spreading bitter fear in its path
The woods rustle in fear
And the clocks start to tick.
