Corporate Medicine Blues | Poem

Let me play you a ditty goin' something like this:

   once there was middle class
   dreamin' they'd become top dog
believin' health care was their right
   and socialized medicine was evil

once there was upper middle class
   thinkin' they were the aces
   secure  belevin' every contingency insured
   and socialized medicine was evil

   Chorus:

Oh we're all singing corporate-medicine blues
Cryin' how they've struck us out
Cryin' how they've struck us out

there is an oath that doctor's take
there was a time of  home visitin'
the devil's offer is still the same
"your soul for a parcel of power"

   ignoring biblical warning
   to never take an oath
even not believin' these wise words
   never dreamin' the devil does

   Chorus:

Oh we're all singing corporate-medicine blues
             Gotta change their ways
             Gotta change their ways

Oooooooooh Corporate Medicine Blues
