Rosa Parks Is On The Bus
 

  if Avram makes

  a safety pin the larva

  and coat hanger the pupa

  of the bicycle

  then history tells us brave, frail Rosa is the  larva

  Malcolm X the pupa

  of RUN DMC

  the solitary tired woman

  a straight line to the future

  on the bus Ken Kesey sang

  on the corner Miles countered

  but now we just walk this  way
