Span And The Swimming

 
 

A leaf falls. A flower blooms.
A bowl of violet crystal
Contains a span, a life.

To wash the dishes.
To win a love...or war.
To scoop a story...or a wheat crop.
To do, to achieve.

What's the bowl, what the batter,
To bake a cake, to savor the flavor?
To do. To learn.
Where is the balance?
How to decide?...
But I do, and you do!

A leaf falls. A flower blooms.
We swim the span,
Contained in a bowl of violet crystal
That is a life,
In the span and in the swimming.
