luminous, lambent way

 is lost 

 traveling man faces 

 a wilderness of choices 

 sailor waits and watches 

 a sea full of peril and possibility 

 empty sky 

 wheels and turns 

 wide world trembles in a new orbit 

 erratic compass and inadequate transit 

 can not measure the swelling  probability 

 traveling man steps away 

 from his shadow 

 sailor lets the sail fill 

 the new day begins
