“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.”
NOT Marianne Williamson’s deepest fear. ‘Marianne Williamson is considered one of America’s most important contemporary spiritual thinkers, as well as a magnificent author and lecturer.’ – from her very own promo for a Bermuda cruise; available for only a few thou $’s.
“Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”
Except for the 60 million malnourished children living in India today…
“It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.”
Pen Chant’s deepest fear is of people that deny they even have a Dark side because they bundle up all evidence of it (whether as simple as ugly gossip or as deadly revenge) and store it in a don’t-go-there part of their brain, and, the brain being made of flesh, not steel, can only hold so much denial – on overload…duck! there’s bound to be an explosion.
“We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”
Not asked by ‘hundreds of thousands of children who are physically abused each year by a parent or close relative. Thousands die…they don’t ask either.
“Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.”
And all you need is 5 days free time to cruise the Bahamas with Marianne Williamson.
“Your playing small does not serve the world.”
And Marianne Williamson serves the world by feeding the poor and housing the hungry. NOT
“There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.”
There is nothing enlightened about using spiritual powers for personal gain.
“We are all meant to shine, as children do.”
We are all meant,, as adults, to protect the children’s shine.
“We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Wonderful! Wonderful! Instead of taking that cruise liner to the Bahamas take it to India and shine “we’s” light on the 60 million malnourished children’s swollen bellies.
“Note: This is often found on the Internet incorrectly stated as a quote by Nelson Mandela from t he Inauguration Speech, 1994.”
Ultimate Confusion! No one who knows anything about Nelson Mandela’s heart would believe he would say such nonsense!
He could have said ‘It is whites that most frightens us.’ But he would not, he is a man of reconciliation and peace.
“We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”
Nope! Wouldn’t say that either.
A quote from what he DID say in his inauguration speech in 1994:
Our daily deeds as ordinary South Africans must produce an actual South African reality that will reinforce humanity’s belief in justice, strengthen its confidence in the nobility of the human soul and sustain all our hopes for a glorious life for all.
Operative words: Our Daily Deeds
